Reimagining Walton Gas: A Brand Approach for 2025
A Fresh, Community-Centered Strategy to Differentiate Walton Gas from Industry Giants
Background
Walton Gas has long been a trusted name in the natural gas industry, known for its reliable service and strong community ties. However, in a crowded market dominated by large utility players, Walton Gas needed a new brand approach to stand apart. The challenge was to redefine its advertising strategy with a more down-to-earth, relatable presence that resonated with local customers while reinforcing its brand pillars: consistency, charity, service, and convenience.
THE WORK
Tailored Creative Strategy to Engage Core Audiences
To position Walton Gas as the approachable, community-focused alternative to the "Big Gas" players, we developed a refreshed advertising strategy for 2025, built on two key creative elements that were built to connect with three core audience personas.
Animated Micro Ads
We introduced a new look and feel for animated micro ads designed to be highly targeted to specific audience demographics. These short, engaging videos use a friendly, illustrative style that feels relatable and welcoming. Their focus is to showcase how Walton Gas integrates into their customers every day lives. This animation approach allowed Walton Gas to tailor its messaging for various customer segments, ensuring greater relevance and engagement. The development of these animated micro ads began with initial moodboards, style frame developments, storyboards and finally into fully developed motion videos.
Live-Action Micro Ads
In addition to animation, we produced a series of live-action micro ads that showcased the real people and communities Walton Gas serves. These ads were filmed in key service areas, reinforcing the brand's deep-rooted presence and commitment to local customers. Each spot highlighted the warmth of Walton Gas through everyday moments—from a city through the seasons to local businesses thriving—all underscored by the reliability and convenience of Walton Gas service.
