Building a YouTube Strategy and Subscription Product
How The Land and the Bible Built an Engaged Global Audience from the Ground Up.
The Ask
The Land and the Bible was founded to help viewers better understand the Bible by exploring the historical, cultural, and geographical contexts of Scripture—directly from the lands where biblical events took place.
With no existing online audience, Between Pixels was tasked with building a social media strategy. This needed to be complimented with high-quality, documentary-style videos that blend education, faith, and cinematic storytelling.
The Results
To establish and grow the channel, we focused on four key pillars
Content Strategy
Production Excellence
Branding Standards
Community Management
This resulted in a thriving comments section filled with questions and theological dialogue, and continued growth through YouTube’s algorithm and organic search.
The Work
Thanks to a consistent, high-quality content strategy, The Land and The Bible continues to grow adding thousands of new viewers and hundreds of new subscribers each month.
Content Strategy
We mapped a video content plan that aligned with key Bible stories, major biblical sites, and questions viewers commonly ask. Content was structured to be evergreen, shareable, and SEO-optimized for discoverability on YouTube.
Production Excellence
Filming on location in Israel, Greece, Turkey, and surrounding regions, we used high-definition video, drone footage, on-camera experts and narration to bring the landscapes of the Bible to life.
Branding Standards
We developed a clear visual identity, including thumbnails, intros/outros, and consistent titling conventions. The YouTube channel homepage was structured with playlists that guided first-time viewers through content based on theme or location.
Community Management
We leaned into community building with strong call-to-actions, regular video publishing, and pinned comments that encouraged discussion.
